LHS Back-to-School Information
We are excited to welcome students for the 2021-2022 school year! This newsletter is intended to provide you with information to help you prepare for the upcoming year.
Student Registration & Residency Verification
All students who will be attending Liberty High School for the 2021-2022 school year need to complete the registration and residency verification process.

Transportation Information
If your student will be riding the bus, please complete this google form to request transportation.

For additional information, please visit the Transportation Department webpage.
If a junior or senior student wants to purchase a parking pass, please complete the process HERE.

All students who are approved for parking MUST be able to show a valid driver's license (permit not accepted), valid car insurance, have remediated all debts, and submit the $60 parking fee by Friday, August 9th. Passes will not be given to those who are unable to provide proper documentation and payment. 
School Pictures: August 11 and 12
All students must take a school photo!

Stop by the LHS Cafeteria on one of the dates below to get your school photo taken.

Wednesday, Aug. 11, 9 am - 2 pm
Thursday, Aug. 12, 11 am - 6 pm

Make-up photo dates will take place during the school year.

Students can order photos online HERE or by submitting this order form.
Laptop Distribution: August 11 and 12
Any student who needs to pick up their laptop should stop by for laptop distribution in the LMC on one of the dates below.

Wednesday, Aug. 11, 9 am - 2 pm
Thursday, Aug. 12, 11 am - 6 pm

Seniors Must Submit MCV4 Vaccine Record
All incoming seniors must submit the vaccine record showing proof of the 2nd meningococcal (MCV4) vaccine. Vaccine records can be faxed to (816)736-5319 or emailed to our school nurses:
Schedule Change Requests
All student schedule change requests must be submitted by August 31, 2021. Students must submit the Schedule Change Request Form, which can be accessed on our Counseling webpage.

AUP Form for Students & Laptop Insurance
Students should login to electronically acknowledge the school/district handbook and policies.

The AUP can be accessed HERE.

For the 2021-2022 school year, LPS will not have a laptop insurance fee and all students will be able to take the devices home, unless arranged with the library to keep the device at school. The only charges for devices will be for intentional damage and lost or stolen devices. Intentional damage will be invoiced at the actual cost to repair or replace the item as referenced in board policy JN for student Fees, Fines and Charges and there will be a $100 charge for any lost or stolen device. If the device is recovered, the $100 will be refunded. 
School Supplies
We recommend some basic supplies to begin the year, including:
  • Pens
  • Pencils
  • Highlighters
  • Notebooks
  • Folders or Binder
  • Earbuds or Headphones

All students will be provided a student planner!

If there are specific supplies needed for a class, your teacher will inform you of those supplies.

To request a locker, students can stop in the main office and see Mrs. Wolfley.
Fall Athletics Information

Students participating in Fall Sports must have an updated physical on file in the Privit system. More information can be accessed HERE.

There will be a Fall Season Parent Meeting on Sunday Aug 8, 2021, at 1 pm in the LHS FIELDHOUSE. The first day of Fall sports practice is August 9th. Follow the respective teams on Twitter or the Athletics website for more information.

Families can use the SchoolCafe site or app to preview menus, make payments, and more. Create your SchoolCafe account HERE.

School breakfast and lunch will be FREE for the 2021-2022 school year. Students may still purchase upgraded or additional food items using the SchoolCafe account.
