Rising Seniors-New Economics Class Option

The State Board of Education (SBoE) is considering offering a new course which will meet the graduation requirement for economics. They will vote on this course in June, so we want to be prepared if this course gets final approval for the 2022-2023 school year.

Currently, to satisfy the economics course requirement, LHS offers Advanced Economics, AP Macroeconomics, and Dual Credit Economics. The new, proposed course is Economics/Personal Financial Literacy. If the SBoE approves the course, then we will make this course available to our students. If approved, would you like to change your course selection from Advanced Economics, AP Macroeconomics, or Dual Credit Economics to the new Advanced Economics/Personal Financial Literacy course (Tier 2) for the 22-23 school year? If you want to make the change, please click here to complete the Google Form. You only need to complete this form if you want to take the new course if it is approved in June.
