Governor Cuomo Announces COVID-19 Restrictions Lifted as 70% of Adult New Yorkers Have Received First Dose of COVID-19 Vaccine
The state has lifted the New York Forward industry reopening Guidance for Real Estate Services during the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency, which had placed restrictions on practices including showings and open houses. Real Estate businesses must, however, continue to implement a mask requirement for individuals who are unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated. Real estate offices and businesses are free to choose to lift some or all of the restrictions, except for the mask requirement for unvaccinated individuals. They can also still require masks and social distancing for their employees and customers/clients regardless of vaccination status. Learn more.

State of Emergency Remains in Effect. Cold Calling is Still Prohibited.
Governor Cuomo announced yesterday that most of the remaining COVID-19 related restrictions on businesses are now lifted. Governor Cuomo did NOT remove the State of Emergency. This means that cold calling restrictions Governor Cuomo placed on businesses like yours is still in effect. NYSAR strongly believes that the cold calling prohibition is unnecessary, unfair and MUST end. NYSAR is continuing to press Governor Cuomo to lift the cold calling ban and we need your help. Early Voting Begins This Week for Queens Primaries
You may not know this, but elections in NYC are generally determined during the primaries. That said Primary Election Day is June 22. Early voting begins SATURDAY June 12 and runs through the 20. If you are voting by absentee ballot, be sure that it’s postmarked by the 15! On the ballot are candidates running for NYC Mayor, Council and Queens Borough President.
