th – The PPP loan program closes on August 8
th. This deadline is for financial institutions to submit complete applications from businesses, so we encourage those who are interested but have not apply to submit your application ASAP with your bank or another lender.
*NEW* Strengthen Manufacturing and Industrial Businesses During COVID-19 – To reopen and sustain your business, manufacturers are faced with a number of challenges, including how to adjust to new talent demands, understanding how to protect staff, and identifying a marketplace to buy and sell PPE. The Manufacturing and Industrial Innovation Council (MaiiC) provides three timely resources to strengthen your business:
- Inform Future Programming: How have the workforce needs of your manufacturing and industrial business shifted since COVID-19? Take the 10 question survey to help MaiiC and the City of New York understand the changes in talent demands for the industrial sector. Take the Survey here.
- Protect your Workers: What kind of PPE is necessary to keep your workers safe? Download these simple guidelines to make protecting your staff easy. Resources include information on assessing employee risk levels, types of PPE, how to store it, and images on how to safely put on and remove PPE.
- Buy and Sell Critical Supplies: Does your business need to purchase PPE to safely reopen? Are you manufacturing PPE and looking for connections to buyers? MaiiC has launched a Marketplace that provides a one-stop-shop for businesses to find products such as face masks, gloves, cleaning products, and other supplies needed for re-opening.
Guidelines for Reopening Webinars - In partnership with NYC Department of Small Business Services, we will be hosting webinars on guidelines for reopening. In these webinars, we will go over requirements and best practices to reopen in New York City. Topics include: state requirements for reopening, recommendations and best practices for reopening, employee support, compliance and enforcement, and resources available to help your business.
