Support our LIC community during MLK Jr. Day of Service
This Monday we pay tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and honor his legacy. This Sunday at 3pm join Queens College for their annual Martin Luther King day celebration The Time Is Now: Forward. The event is free to attend and will feature welcoming remarks from Queens Borough President Donovan Richards. Click here to RSVP.

For Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, we also want to highlight specific calls to action in our community that you can support:

Donate to the Astoria Mutual Aid Network: Join their effort with Transform America to help keep Astoria and LIC residents in NYCHA housing warm this winter. Each heater costs $30, they are also accepting warm winter clothing donations to be distributed on 1/22. Click here to learn more and donate.

Contribute to College Scholarships for Elementary School Students in our School District with NYC Kids Rise: In recognition of MLK Day, please consider making a contribution here to support the college scholarships of elementary school students in our community.

Donate to the food pantry at Sunnyside Community Services: You can select items from our wish list and have them delivered directly to SCS. You can also shop for similar items at your local store and drop them off at SCS on Mondays and Wednesdays between 9am and 5pm.
Join us and SBA today at 3pm to discuss PPP and EIDL Updates!
