NYC is Entering Phase 2 On Monday, #SupportLICLocal As We Continue to Reopen!

NYC Enters Phase 2 of Reopening -
As of this morning, both the Mayor and the Governor have now announced that NYC
is on track to begin
Phase 2 of Reopening this coming Monday, June 22. Businesses allowed to begin reopening in this phase include:
- Offices
- Real Estate
- Essential and Phase II In-Store Retail
- Vehicle Sales, Leases, and Rentals
- Retail Rental, Repair, and Cleaning
- Commercial Building Management
- Hair Salons and Barbershops
- Outdoor and Take-out/Delivery Food
- The application for restaurants to self-ceritfiy will go live tomorrow at nyc.gov.
- Restaurants will be able to use the following spaces:
- Sidewalks
- Curb Lane Seating
- Backyard Seating
- Open Streets & Plazas
- Are self-employed and have no employees; OR
- Did not reduce the salaries or wages of their employees by more than 25%, and did not reduce the number or hours of their employees; OR
- Experienced reductions in business activity as a result of health directives related to COVID-19 and did not reduce the salaries or wages of their employees by more than 25%
EIDL Application Reopened – The
EIDL application portal is now reopened to accept new applications from eligible businesses and non-profits.
Mayor’s Restaurant Revitalization Program (Deadline: June 19) - The program will provide restaurants with short term payroll support now, funding subsidized wages to employ displaced restaurant workers who will prepare meals for their communities. Priority will be given to applicants in target neighborhoods, which include Queens Community District 1. For more information, please visit the Program’s

- The reason behind an employee’s refusal to return to work will guide how an employer can and should respond.
