LaGuardia AirTrain Public Hearings and Workshops

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has released the Draft Environmental Impact Statemen t (DEIS) for the proposed LaGuardia Airport Access Improvement Project (AirTrain). The proposed project would include passenger stations at LaGuardia Airport that would connect with the New York City subway system and the Long Island Railroad at Willets Point.

The FAA will host a number of virtual public hearings and workshops on this project over a 3-day period, from 9/22 – 9/24. For registration and event information, please see this link.

Your support brings dignity and independence to the lives of our riders and honors all individuals with disabilities.

The evening will honor LICP Member Charles Boyce of Boyce Technologies with a special presentation by Soledad O’Brien.

By combining small in-person events throughout Long Island City with virtual offerings, over 3 days of festivities, we will showcase #LICLocal businesses and organizations through their fun, creative, and innovative activities that can be experienced safely by groups of all ages.

*NEW* Interim Indoor Dining Guidance – The NYS Department of Health has released the Interim Guidance For New York City Indoor Food Services. As a reminder, food establishments in NYC can resume indoor dining at 25% capacity beginning September 30. For full detail, please access the Interim Guidance at this link.

*NEW* Entrepreneur Business Training Course – The Queens Economic Development Corporation offers a comprehensive, 60-hour hands-on business planning and training course for new and existing business owners. This year’s course will include practical training for the current environment, such as Zoom videoconferencing and digital marketing. For information on registration and cost, please see this link.
