Topics will include:
- SLA's new points system for suspending licenses
- What happens if your license gets suspended
- Types of violations that will almost guarantee a suspension and how to avoid them
- Best practices for food, seating, and social distancing

Former Queens BP Claire Shulman Memorial Service Tonight
Thursday, September 3 6pm

The Queens Borough Presidents Office would like to invite you to join them tonight at 6:00pm for a virtual Celebration of the Life and Legacy of The Honorable Claire Shulman, the trailblazing former Queens Borough President who passed away on August 16 at the age of 94.

The celebration, hosted by Borough President Sharon Lee and Schneps Media, will be aired by Queens Public Television. QPTV can be found on Channel 34/1995 (Spectrum), Channel 82 (RCN) and Channel 34 (Verizon).

COVID-19 Updates
9/10: Reopening Webinar for Gyms and Fitness Centers – Beginning on 9/2, gyms and fitness centers can reopen in NYC. Before reopening, these businesses have to request a facility inspection. To answer any questions about reopening process, the NYC Department of Small Business Services is hosting a webinar on 9/10, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm. NYC DEP Water Conservation and Reuse Grant – The NYC Department of Environmental Protection is offering funding for water efficiency projects totaling or greater than $50,000 on a single private property. It is anticipated that up to $1 million will be available, to be distributed amongst selected applicants. Please visit this link for more information.

Mediating Establishment and Neighbor Disputes (MEND) NYC - MEND NYC is a new citywide initiative to provide free mediation and conflict resolution services to address quality-of-life issues that impact both New York City residents and businesses in the hospitality industry, which includes bars, clubs, restaurants or live music venues. The goal of MEND NYC is to use mediation and facilitative processes to create an opportunity for New York City residents and businesses to connect directly and establish a respectful ongoing dialogue to better determine for themselves how to live together peacefully in their communities.
