Father Peter Sweisgood & Gabriel's Giving Tree Healing & Recovery Breakfast

Join LICADD and Gabriel's Giving Tree for a heartwarming day of healing and recovery on Sunday, October 27th as we come together to honor John Flanagan and Eileen & Larry Lamendola and support those who are in their journey to recovery at the Father Peter Sweisgood and Gabriel's Giving Tree Healing & Recovery Breakfast.


Connect with others who understand the unique challenges of loss and recovery, and gain strength from one another and witness the profound impact of shared support and empathy.

We hope you will join with treatment professionals, community leaders, government officials and families across Long Island as we gather to support and to celebrate the miracle of recovery at the Heritage Club at Bethpage.

LICADD Honors International Overdose Awareness Day at Local Events

LICADD was honored join with peers, community leaders and families in observance of International Overdose Awareness Day (August 31st) to raise awareness, share information about programs and services, reduce stigma, acknowledge the grief felt by loved ones and commemorate those we’ve lost.


LICADD attended the International Overdose Awareness Day for a Call to Action Panel, Candlelight Vigil, and Narcan Training at THRIVE Recovery Centers alongside, Anthony Rizzuto, Director of Provider Relations and Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor of Seafield Center, Megan O’Donnell, Executive Assistant District Attorney for Suffolk County; Dr. Gregson H. Pigott, Suffolk County Health Commissioner and Dr. Jeffrey L. Reynolds, President and CEO, FCA


LICADD also attended Deer Park Drug Prevention Coalition's 5th Annual International Overdose Awareness Day Rally & Candlelight Vigil alongside Madeline Quintyne-McConney, Town of Babylon Chief Diversity Officer and New York State Senator Monica R. Martinez. 

LICADD Provides Overdose Outreach and Celebrates the Arts and Culture of Native American Traditions at the 78th Annual Shinnecock Powwow

It was an honor for LICADD to provide overdose prevention outreach at the 78th Annual Shinnecock Powwow over the weekend!


We thank LICADD Board Director Reverend Michael F. Smith for the opportunity to raise awareness and celebrate the arts and culture of Native American traditions.
