DOT Art Open Call: Community Commissions Deadline (2/15)

NYC DOT Art partners with community-based, nonprofit organizations and professional artists to present temporary public art on DOT property for up to 11 months. Artists transform streets from ordinary to extraordinary with colorful murals, dynamic projections and eye-catching sculptures.  Individual artists are invited to apply to Community Commissions and Barrier Beautification. Culture Corner:  Lift-Off Festival @ The Plaxall Gallery

Please join Feminist Science Fiction Theater Company, The Navigators, at the Plaxall Gallery this weekend for the 4th Annual Lift-Off New Play Series. This yearly festival celebrates short sci-fi plays featuring strong female characters and feminist-inspired story lines. Each year, the company chooses 12-18 short plays to produce over one exciting weekend. Learn more and purchase tickets today.
Reminder: Love Your Local Grant Deadline Extended!
The Love Your Local Small Business Grant Program is a program created by the  NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) to help local businesses continue providing the jobs, goods, and services that make our neighborhoods vibrant. The program will select 20 small businesses to each receive an in-depth assessment of their business, one-on-one business consultations and a grant of up to $90,000 to implement recommendations from experts.
