Tonight: 'LIC Lights Up' Holiday Celebration on Vernon
|
For the first time, the LIC BID will have holiday lighting
throughout the entire district. Gather with the LIC BID and community leaders at
Hunters Point Community Park on the corner of 48th Avenue and Vernon Boulevard
for a festive event with caroling by Girl Scouts of LIC and SING LIC and complimentary hot chocolate.
A donation drop off site for the
the Floating Hospital's Candy Cane Lane
will be set up. Please bring new a toy, book or children's clothing.
Over 30 BID Businesses will be offering deals and discounts tonight in celebration of our new holiday lighting so be sure to grab a
special glow bracelet from an LICP Staff Member tonight to unlock the savings!

next week on December 7, 8, and 9. Over twenty local artists, both professional ceramicists and devoted hobbyists, will be presenting hundreds of their best handmade pottery work for sale at accessible prices for all the art lovers on your holiday gift list. s 9th Annual Food Drive for Queens families in need is underway! You can help by donating non-perishable food items including canned meats, soups, veggies, fruits, as well as infant formula, peanut butter and dried goods so no one has to go hungry this holiday season. All items will go directly to children and families in our communities. Any donation, big or small, is appreciated.
You can bring items to the Council Member's District Office at 47-01 Queens Boulevard, Suite 205 in Sunnyside between 9am and 6pm, or drop them off at select Queens Library locations (see left)
