Improved Athletic Performance

By training these muscles, one is able to move with more power. Can improve performance in sports such as basketball, cycling, golf, running and soccer.

Reduced Back Pain

By strengthening your hamstrings and glutes, you are less likely to experience lower back pain.

Greater Flexibility

Q: When did you join LIFT and what brought you to LIFT Specifically?

A:  I joined LIFT in 2014 after my doctor referred me to the facility. Due to my battle with severe arthritis, my doctor told me that being in a pool would be the best way to continue my exercise journey. The pool would help prevent me from flaring up my arthritis during exercise due to it being lower impact.

Q: How has being part of LIFT improved your life outside of the gym?

A: I spend a lot of time with my 5 grandkids, and one great-grandchild. I love spending time with them and being active with them as much as I can. Going to LIFT and exercising everyday has helped keep me mobile. If I did not keep my exercise routine, there is a really good chance I would be in a wheelchair today. LIFT has helped me maintain my health and helped give me a chance to be present and active with my family and friends!

Q: What advice would you give someone who is thinking about joining LIFT?

A: Your health is an investment. And coming to LIFT will significantly improve your investment on life. Regardless of how you do it, whether that's working out in the pool or joining a Group Exercise class, or even just walking the track. . . if you give your best effort here at LIFT, your life outside of LIFT will improve so much more!

Reminders when using the Steam Room and Sauna

Please help us keep the steam rooms and saunas working properly for all members. Here are 3 tips to help with this request:

·        Do NOT place towels or any other objects across the thermostats. Placing a towel across the thermostat will cause the pump to overheat in the steam rooms and will decrease the life of the heating coils in the sauna. This will also cause the temperature to rise above safe levels.

·        Do NOT add more than ¾ of a ladle to the rocks in the sauna. Adding too much water will cause issues to the sauna as well. The water cools the hot rocks which causes the steam. Excessive steam will cause the temperature to rise above safe levels. Unnecessary amounts of water will cool the rocks too quickly causing them to crack. When the rocks crack into smaller pieces, it causes the heating coil to be covered with the smaller pieces. This in turn causes the heating coil to overheat and shutdown.

·        Do NOT add essential oils to the sauna or the steam room. Adding essential oils or any other chemical can cause skin and eye irritation to some members. It can also cause the rocks to crack in the sauna.

Following these rules will help us to continue to provide a high quality, safe environment for all of our amazing members.
