CAMERON HUELIN

Q: When did you join LIFT and why?

A: I joined LIFT in July 2023 because it offered every type of fitness under one roof - free weights, machines, group classes, a lap pool, sauna, cardio equipment, and more.

Q: What do you like best about LIFT Wellness Center?

A: My favorite part about the LIFT is the community that has been built there – people helping other people be healthier and more active. I also enjoy the freedom to come at all hours and without overcrowding.

Q: How has being part of LIFT improved your life outside of the gym?

A: The LIFT has improved my outlook on holistic health and fitness during my cancer treatment journey. Even while taking Chemotherapy and a trial drug, I have been able to stay active at the LIFT. Being able to work out there has improved my blood pressure, resting heart rate, and overall blood work levels.

Q: What is your favorite thing to do when at LIFT?

A: I love using the free weights, swimming and using the hot tub and sauna.

Q: What advice would you give someone who is thinking about joining LIFT?

A: I would highly recommend the LIFT to anyone, no matter their level of fitness/fitness experience. The LIFT has features for everyone no matter their age or ability. I would advise someone to look into the group classes/personal training in order to learn more about exercise and a healthy lifestyle.

Whether you’re looking to lose weight, improve your strength training, prepare for a race, or simply achieve your highest athletic potential, you can use zone training to:

  • Establish your baselines
  • Tailor training to achieve your desired results
  • Track your progress over time

From a physiological perspective, your five training zones measure the intensity at which your body is using its aerobic metabolism system to produce energy from fat and glycogen.

In simple terms, this means that your body responds and performs differently at various rates of exertion.

By measuring your own training zones, you can tailor your training routine to ensure you’re triggering the right physiological responses to create the outcomes you’re after.

Ranging from Zone 1 (the lowest intensity) to Zone 5 (the highest intensity), it’s important to understand that your training zones are uniquely your own. They can vary based on factors like fitness level, age, and genetics.
