Q: When did you Join LIFT and Why?

A: I joined the LIFT when it very first opened. I had been going to a different exercise facility prior to coming here, but I was curious about LIFT and so I decided to take a tour. The first thing that caught my eye was the atmosphere of the facility. Everyone had a real positive attitude and were very helpful.

Q: What do you like best about the Rock Steady Boxing Program?

A: A few of my favorite things about RSB has to be the variety of exercises that I get to do each and every class, the community that has been built that really makes each member of the program feel important, and lastly the coaches' ability to help keep us motivated to keep showing up. Having people who are there to help keep you going makes the fight against Parkinson’s not feel so isolating.

Q: What advice would you tell someone who is considering joining Rock Stead Boxing?

A: First, I would tell them that this program is for all levels of people. Regardless of if you were just diagnosed with Parkinson’s, or if you have been in the fight a long time, anyone can be a part of this program. And secondly, I would just express to them that this program is an opportunity to be around those who all have the same struggles. Having a community around that understands the hardships, can leave a big impact on the journey one has with their fight with Parkinson’s.
