~~~~~ Thank You Sponsors! ~~~~~
The pandemic postponed our annual Gala & Auction fundraiser, but our incredible sponsors know that our work must go on and have outdone themselves with generosity, raising over $240,000 for LIHI’s Affordable Housing, Tiny House Villages, Urban Rest Stops, and Supportive Services. These crucial, essential services have continued operating at full capacity throughout the pandemic. We couldn’t do our work without you!
LIHI in the News
LIHI's Tiny House program was recently featured in two Seattle Times articles and the Daily Journal of Commerce.
"I was happy to see the City Council just approved adding 120 more tiny houses next year, which will bring the city total to about 400. That’s something, but when Jenny Durkan ran for mayor in 2017, she also pledged to build 1,000 of them, in just her first year. Again, didn’t happen."
"Dubroca has wondered out loud what the world would look like, what Seattle’s homelessness crisis would look like, if every professional in her field dedicated as much time working in affordable housing as they do designing multimillion-dollar buildings and homes."
LIHI's Othello Park Apartments was featured in the Daily Journal of Commerce.
"The project will have many two- and three-bedroom units targeting large and/or multigenerational families. LIHI says it will use community preference during lease-up and target historic residents of the community and those at risk of displacement."
Othello Park Apartments will be completed in Fall of 2021
