Dear Fellow Lions:

We are well on our way to a very successful year. Your team is working hard to promote Mission 1.5 through service.

I want to speak about a couple of things that are coming up. Military bags are here. Please contact Lion Kevin Young at: ibu16cowboy@gmail.com. They are $5 per bag. Let’s support our military and sell out of the bags.

Our Governor’s fundraiser is coming up on October 27, 2024 at the Garden Grove Clubhouse. Please rsvp to Lion Diane Quinlan as soon as possible.

Let’s not forget about our District Meeting on November 2, 2024 in Chino. Please get your reservations in to Lion Diane as soon as possible.

I know this seems far away but the Rose Parade is fast approaching and will be here before we know it. I am selling tickets for the “Ride of Your Life” at $20 per person. Please contact me if you would like to buy tickets. Also, Lions have been given the opportunity not only to decorate our float but to participate in decorating all floats. Autumn has arrived, and the cooler weather is perfect for tasting some delicious, warm chilis at our 3rd Annual Chili Cookoff on October 12th! Your help in sharing this fundraiser with your communities is is truly appreciated, and much needed for us to continue providing our students with the resources and support they need to break their toxic cycles, and change the trajectories of their lives.

We are still in need of an 8 passenger vehicle for our student transitional living home! Our 6 students who live at Robyne's Landing intermittently attend outings together, so this vehicle is greatly needed! Please contact Robyne directly if you or someone you know has something they would donate or offer at a very low price for transporting our students!

Our Chili Cookoff fundraiser is LESS THAN 3 WEEKS AWAY!

Presale admission tickets are 1 for $15 and 2 for $30. Each admission ticket includes one raffle ticket, chili tasting and voting, a hamburger or hot dog, chips, non-alcoholic beverage, and great live music! Raffle and presale admission tickets are available online through October 9th.

Admission tickets sold at the door will be $20 per person and will not include a raffle ticket, so sign up early and save. Raffle tickets can also be purchased at the cookoff.
