Dear Lions of District 4L4,

As I conclude my year of service as your District Governor, my heart is full of gratitude and pride. Serving alongside you has been the best volunteer job I could imagine. Together, we have honored our mission and served our communities with energy, humility, and heart.

Thank you for the hospitality, friendship, and trust you extended to me throughout the year. From club visits to service projects and celebrations, your warmth and commitment made every mile and every meeting worthwhile. You reminded me, time and again, what it means to be a Lion: to step up, to serve, and to lead with kindness.

I am delighted to congratulate and welcome our new District Governor, Lion Marianne Allen. Marianne brings wisdom, dedication, and a clear vision for the road ahead. I have every confidence in her leadership, and I urge the entire district to rally behind Marianne and the incoming cabinet. With your support, 4L4 will continue to grow stronger, serve more boldly, and inspire new leaders to follow.

We have accomplished so much this year—expanding service, strengthening clubs, and lifting up neighbors in need. Those achievements belong to you. Keep that momentum. Keep inviting,

including, and imagining what’s possible when Lions work together.

Thank you, Lions of 4L4, for a remarkable year and for the honor of serving you. I look forward to supporting District Governor Marianne and cheering on your successes in the year ahead.

With appreciation and Lion pride,

Lion Roger Mahaffey

District Governor
