Wow what a convention! 4 clubs in the 4-L4 District won a State title!

It doesn't get better than that! Seal Beach got Large Club Project of the year with the Autism Skatebord project, Pomona Host got Medium Project of the Year for Lopez Urban Farm with CLF Grant, , Mike & Cheryl Zozaya got MD4 Couple of the Year, and Huntington Beach got MD4 Club of the Year for all the work they do in there community and throughout our District!  Big Congrats to all the winners! you are all amazing Lions and I'm so very proud of our district!

Now its time again to submit for this year awards, please get your nominations in to Diane asap so we can be ready for the district Convention May 3-5 in Carlsbad. the Candidates for district officers locked, so your slate of candidates is ready for your votes! yipee! 

We are moving forward with the 2 new Clubs Westminster and Irvine, but are in real need of people to help market them, as well as guiding Lions for the new Clubs.  Please please please if you have skills, wanna learn or want to be a guiding Lion please contact me or Diane! asap! You know it takes a village to make these new clubs happen, we have a ton of talented Lions in our District and I'm asking for your help to make these clubs happen before the end of this Lions Year!  Please Join our Strike Team and Let's hit our goals for Mission 1.5! we Can Do it! "Where there's a Need there's a Lion!" 

Lastly I'm looking forward to all the up coming fundraisers and projects as we continue our year! Your leadership team will be making as many as we can get into our schedule So please make sure we get them all in the wrap!

our overall LCIF giving level is great!

Now let’s go one step further

and become a 100% District.

To do that…ALL THAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN

is for each club in the district to make a donation

to LCIF.

And get this, the amount that must be given? $20 minimum.

That’s right, $20!

Of course, your club could give $50, $100, or $1000

if they like, but $20 is what we need.

There are still nine (9) clubs in our district

that we need a donation from.

Can you please talk to your boards and club members

and make this happen?

I am pleased to announce that Lions Day at the City of Hope is coming back! Please mark your calendars for May 19th. The event starts at 11:30 and wraps up after lunch. The event is free to all, and includes tours and lectures on the latest research from the hospital staff. If you plan to attend, you absolutely need to RSVP, or you won't be able to attend the luncheon. Please contact Cindy Robinson via email or phone. Her contact information is at the bottom of the flyer. It is also an opportunity for each club to present a cash donation to the City of Hope and receive recognition. The amount is up to each club and is voluntary. This is the first time since covid the City of Hope has put this on, so let's have a great turnout!

The EZSR is a way that LEOS and LIONS can report service projects in clubs! Any Leo or Lion can go to the EZSR report the service project details including name, date and number of people and hours served along with photos. Remember Leo Activitiy must also be reported to LCI.
