Hello Lions,

It is great to hear all the fury of activity around working to get two new clubs started. Hats off to Lion Kurt Bensworth and his strike team for taking on this task. This team is tackling a club for the city of Irvine along with Westminster.

While I am writing this we currently have Lions from many clubs in our distirct walking in the TET parade working to recruit members for the Westminster club and showing the LIONS SPIRIT.

We have had a phenomenal start to the year with all the service and I am proud to be a member of this great district. I look forward to the future of this district with all the upcoming projects and fundraisers!

Furthermore, I would just like to remind all the delegates of our district to please come out and vote for our Endorsed 4L4 ID candidate Mark Piva. Remember every vote counts, as we have seen in the past it has come down to a vote or two. Lion PDG Mark has done so much for both our district and the Multiple as well.

I look forward to seeing everyone out in Riverside! Additionally, just a final note we should all be proud of Lions Scott and Bobby Olson for the great Podcast that they our producing to promote our district. I have enjoyed all the content contained within each of their great podcasts.

Lions, please keep up all the great service that has taken place this year. I look forward to what the next few months hold for the district.

Yours in Lionism

Lion 1st VDG Scotty and Irish

DELEGATES FOR MD4 CONVENTION

Please be sure to print out the confirmation and send to your delegates as they will need this along with ID to vote.

The Governors of California and the Council Chair have a process if your club has Alternates for voting:

Make a list of your delegates to include full name and member ID #

Should you need to have one of your alternates vote please be sure to get in touch right away with DG Drew or CC Craig so they can go with the Alternate to the credential room and sign to have the alternate vote, they will need to know which original delegate they are replacing so that person can be removed. Please be advised once this is done the original person will be unable to vote!!

Send the list to ALL of the following:

COUNCIL CHAIR CRAIG DURAND ([email protected])

COUNCIL SECRETARY ELISA COYLE ([email protected])

DISTRICT GOVERNOR DREW SASSER ([email protected])

PDG's are a seperate vote and do not need to be listed as a delegate. MD4 has a list of all PDG's, they will also need

ID to vote!

Hello Lions -

The new episode of "The Lions' Den" podcast is now available.

20,000 meals needed to be prepared and the 4L4 came through to put them together. We’ll fill you in, during the “District Spotlight.”

People are cold and the harbor mesa club is working hard to warm them up! And the 4L4 might have a new brother and sister in Westminster and Irvine. Lion Bobbi talks to lion Kurt about the two new editions to the Lion family in the “How Can We Help” segment.

We sat down with the Mahaffee’s, from Buena Park Noon, and heard a touching story about a woman that could definitely make you smile. You’ll hear all about her in the “Local Hero” segment.

The 4L4 is busy? Heck yeah! We’ve got a full rundown of upcoming events happening in our district.

Click here to listen!

If you have information, ideas or inspirational stories we can share on future episodes, let us know!

Remember, sharing is caring, so pass it along!

We appreciate your support!
