Hello Lions,
As we move towards year’s end, I find myself feeling kind of sad as it has been a great experience but the time just rolls by rather quickly. But as they say when one door closes another door opens on a new chapter in life.
We still have a convention to attend so if you have not registered, then please do so as we are going to have fun. DG Allen and myself thought up the theme of the convention as
he is an Optometrist and with my lack of vision, we thought that “The Power of Vision” would be an appropriate theme. We are going to have fun and games along with some business to deal
with. One of the meals will be a “Dining in the Dark .” I am looking forward to hearing people squirt the tomatoes off of the salad under the fork when trying to stab them. Furthermore it has
been explained to me that a pair of hair trimmers will make an appearance sometime Saturday for fundraising purposes. If you have not set up your voting delegates, please do this ASAP. Information on how to input delegates is below. Please come out and join in on the fun and fellowship.
If you have already planned to join us at convention, you must register to attend any of the sessions or even vote. We have kept the registration cost low, so we hope that you will attend and have some fun with this joint district convention.
Following the convention we still will be working on the new club and a few other items that need some attention. Here is an update on my foot, it has healed to the point that all I need now
is that the skin just has to grow over the wound and close and then I will stay in the wrap for about a month or two to let the skin become mature and strong and then I will be able to wear a
pair of shoes. I am so looking forward to having both feet back on the ground.
Again I would like to thank all of the great lions in our district that serve their communities every day.
Oh an Happy Anniversary TODAY to my life partner!!! This was more fun with her along side of me!!!
Your humble Servant Leader
