Success Story!
Kevin is a Vietnam Vet who overcame drug and alcohol addiction and currently has a steady job with the National Zoo. However, he still needed to get free from debts he incurred during his addiction. One of these debts was a balance of $26,603.65 for tax years 2004-2014, owed to the Comptroller of Maryland. Kevin tried to work this out with the state, who put him on an unsustainable installment agreement.

Volunteer Rob McGarrah brought Kevin to MVLS’ attention, and worked with him on an OIC – allowing Kevin to make a single payment of $1,000 to satisfy the $26,603 balance! Kevin can now move forward with his life without worry.
