American Tapestry Part II: Contemporary Literature about our Ethnic Diversity with Gail Lipsitz
Wednesdays, May 5 through June 2 (no class 5/26) | 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.
In this course, we will read and discuss short stories and poems that offer insight into the lives of people from many different backgrounds and cultures in the USA. What challenges do they face? How do they integrate multiple identities? What unique contributions are they making? Writers will include people with Asian American, African American, Latinx, Israeli, and Russian heritages, among others. American Tapestry I is not a pre-requisite for taking this course and all readings will be new. Included in Gold.
