Take the Clean Lake Pledge in January and have your sign delivered in February!
Join the over 590 people across the area who have signed the Clean Lake Pledge! It takes small actions by many to make a positive impact on Lanier's water quality. Correct fertilizer use will help prevent blue-green algae blooms, proper boat maintenance will prevent oil and gas spills, and proper septic tank maintenance will help prevent bacteria.

What is The Clean Lake Pledge?

It's a volunteer pledge to say that you support taking actions for a Clean Lake. Don't worry we don't check up on you, but it is an opportunity for LLA to communicate with anyone in the Lake Lanier Watershed about best practices for protecting water quality. The pledge address three areas:

  • Yard and Grounds Protection
  • Boat, Dock and Equipment Maintenance
  • While On the Lake
Those who take the pledge can receive a sign to show their support and commitment to adhering to the recommended practices. The small sign can be placed by the mailbox or another location around your home. This simple practice lets friends and neighbors know that you are doing your part in protecting Lake Lanier.

Together we are able to make wise choices to preserve and protect Lake Lanier. Click the link below to take the pledge and learn more! If you take a pledge in January we will deliver a sign to you in February.
Help Assemble Clean Lake Pledge Signs
LLA is looking for volunteers to help us assemble Clean Lake Pledge signs. Signs will be displayed proudly by mailboxes and in yards all around the lake! These signs will be available at the MarineMax boat show or delivered in February to those who take the pledge this month.

Renew or Join at the Boat Show
Though not a requirement to stopping by the LLA tent, because we are excited to say hi, if you would like to renew or join at the Boat Show at the Gold level ($150) or above you can get an LLA blanket (limited quantities). We will also have a list of everyone who renewed their membership early in December or gave an end of the year donation above $100 and if we still have them when you stop by, you are welcome to one as well! We like to throw in an added thank you as renewing early reduces our staff time throughout the year. It is a win win!
If you renew early, don't worry you won't lose time on your membership. We will move your expiration date out one year from your current expiration date. For example if you expire May 1, 2022 and you renew at the MarineMax Boat Show your new expiration date would be May 1, 2023.
To support programs like the Clean Lake Pledge, Shore Sweep and more, join or renew your LLA membership today via the link below!
Don't Miss the 2021 Recap!
As always, if you see a need for Lake Lanier that you would like LLA to address please don't hesitate to let us know. Though we can't do everything, we can't do it if haven't thought about it.
