Businesses, Nonprofits, and Community,

A Message From The President...

Welcome to 2022 everyone! This is an exciting time to be in Leadville and to be involved with the LLCEDC and the local community!  I am looking forward to serving as the president of the LLCEDC, and I wanted to give you an update with what's going on with the LLCEDC.  First off, let's welcome in new board members Jeff McGuinness (Silver City Printing), and Ted Green (Blue Flower Candy & Provisions), and our new donor member Saint Vincent Hospital.  We are surely going to miss Marla Akridge and we wish her well at her new position in Ohio.  Marla has taught us so much, and the work she and the LLCEDC have done in 2020, and 2021 have made this a smooth transition for our new leadership team.  I’m very excited to be teamed up with Nancy Bailey, Director of the LLCEDC and Leadville Main Street, our new Administrative/Communications Assistant Meryl Aune, as well as our outstanding board members, membership, and community members. Check out or 2022 Board Members HERE.

As we seek to elevate Leadville, and improve our quality of life in Lake County, we are moving forward with our business retention and expansion program (BR&E), partnering with SCORE and the SBDC, meeting with developers, key stakeholders and municipalities, and we are currently exploring an elevated economic alliance model.  Nancy, Meryl, and the Main Street Leadville board are working hard to enhance our downtown in 2022, so stay tuned.  As we hit the ground running in 2022, we thank you for all of your support. We are lucky to live in such an amazing place, and with your continued support we can make it even better.

Many thanks, Jason Hall

President LLCEDC

Offer health insurance benefits to your employees tax-free!

Businesses of any size can offer plans with more savings, cost control, and choice than traditional group plans.

Peak Health Alliance is excited to introduce a new health insurance product for small business called “ICHRA”. ICHRAs will allow businesses of any size to contribute to an amount they determine, tax-free, to their employee's health insurance premiums.

This is a fantastic benefit for a small business owner who can now offer health insurance as a recruitment and retention tool to both fill time and part time or seasonal workers. Businesses can determine the amount of the contribution, then the employees will use the individual marketplace to find a place that fits their budget and situation best.

Thanks to LLCEDC's partnership with Peak, LLCEDC members will receive a $25 direct rebate from Peak by enrolling in ICHRA or another Peak group insurance product before December 1, 2021.
