Offer health insurance benefits to your employees tax-free!

Businesses of any size can offer plans with more savings, cost control, and choice than traditional group plans.

Peak Health Alliance is excited to introduce a new health insurance product for small business called “ICHRA”. ICHRAs will allow businesses of any size to contribute to an amount they determine, tax-free, to their employee's health insurance premiums.

This is a fantastic benefit for a small business owner who can now offer health insurance as a recruitment and retention tool to both fill time and part time or seasonal workers. Businesses can determine the amount of the contribution, then the employees will use the individual marketplace to find a place that fits their budget and situation best.

Thanks to LLCEDC's partnership with Peak, LLCEDC members will receive a $25 direct rebate from Peak by enrolling in ICHRA or another Peak group insurance product before December 1, 2021.

CDOT - Important Info!

CDOT is revisiting its funding priorities for the remaining 6 years of the current 10-year plan. Lake County government is seeking to add two priority projects to the CDOT list, at a regional planning on Friday, February 11th. The first area is the “north gateway” running roughly from the Safeway traffic light out to the 91/24 intersection. With the Railyards and other residential development coming to the East, West and North of this strip, it is highly likely that this area will see increased pedestrian and vehicle traffic. The time seems right to get ahead of these changes, in terms of traffic patterns, speeds, and pedestrian safety elements. If we do this right, we can make the north Gateway be a more vibrant commercial and neighborhood area. A second area being pitched to CDOT is continued safety improvements at the Mountain View manufactured home community, where a 45 mile-per-hour blind corner splits the community. Because 24 and 91 are state highways, it is critical to get the planning and implementation for this area of Lake County on CDOT’s priority list.
