Greetings LLCEDC Members & Community Leaders,

Economic Development Week - NEXT WEEK!

We are joining our partners from the Economic Development Council of Colorado (EDCC) and Downtown Colorado, Inc. (DCI) for Economic Development Week, May 9th - 13th, to celebrate Colorado's Economic Development ecosystem and partners. The week long celebration will consist of educational webinars, social media, and networking with industry professionals, to "highlight the achievements of economic development professionals and champion new pathways of success as we continue to climb out of the pandemic-led recession".

We will be sharing our success stories, highlighting our team and our partners, emphasizing our communities vision, and more throughout the week via EDCC's and DCI's social media campaign. Along with the campaign is a series of themed webinars, with a variety of topics, to bring awareness and insight to the vitality of Colorado's economic developmental success.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Lake County knows that we need a public transportation system to connect people to each other, stores and resources, and the outdoors. We are hoping to have a system in place in the next 18 months, but need your help to make sure we create a system that works best for our community. Your answers to this survey will help us understand your travel needs, whether you experience barriers accessing Summit Stage, and whether you feel improved bus service could be a good resource for you.

Initial bus service is planned to connect Leadville and the surrounding neighborhoods. In future years it is possible bus service could be expanded to other parts of Lake County. You may also fill this survey out online at: https://bit.ly/LeadvilleBusSurvey

Please complete the short survey and if you have any questions you can email them to Kayla Marcella at [email protected]

OEDIT Partnering with Exit Planning Institute on a 2022 Colorado State of Owner Readiness Survey

As the State of Colorado actively looks to support businesses through all stages of their journey, the Employee Ownership Office of Colorado is working in partnership with the Exit Planning Institute to create the State of Owner Readiness Report. This research gives an inside look on how prepared private business owners are to sell or exit their businesses and allows for our statewide business community to best prepare for this next step, consider all of their options, and improve their individual transition success. Your participation in the 2022 Colorado State of Owner Readiness survey will help Colorado continue discovering new opportunities to support business owners. Responses to the survey are confidential and it will take about 12 minutes to complete.
