Are you ready for for the Academic Competition? This year's event will be held on Saturday, March 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., in the Gym.

Students have formed teams
 to show off their scholarly excellence in math, science, social science, and English and will compete for scholarships, while having fun. The winners of the competition will be announced at the end of the event.

  • April 16 - Last day to submit Early Fall 2018 Graduation application
  • April 27 - Last day to withdraw from semester-length classes with a "W"

Missed the Deadline to Apply for Spring 2018?
If you missed the application deadline for Spring 2018 graduation, you may fill out an Application to Walk in Graduation Ceremony with Coursework Remaining form, along with a Graduation Application indicating Summer 2018 graduation. Check the box that indicates completion in spring. The form will be accepted through April 19. Approved degrees will be posted in summer.
Summer 2018 Grads can Participate in Commencement Ceremony
If you will be taking your last classes in Summer 2018 and wish to participate in the Spring 2018 Commencement Ceremony, you can fill out an Application to Walk In Graduation Ceremony with Coursework Remaining after you register for your Summer 2016 classes. Be sure to check the box that indicates completion in summer and list the courses being taken during the Summer Session. The form will be accepted April 4 through April 19.

Student Trustee Election

If you are interested in a wonderful leadership opportunity and the chance to represent your follow students, then you should apply to be the next Contra Costa Community College District Student Trustee. 

The Student Trustee serves on the District Governing Board, represents students' needs and interests, c hairs monthly Student Trustee Advisory Council meetings, and a ttends state and regional leadership trainings and conferences.

The deadline to apply is March 20, at 12:30 p.m.  To apply, download the District Student Trustee Election Packet .

LMC Announces the Recipients of the 2018 Cesar Chavez Awards. 

The  ceremony  will take place Thursday, March 22 at its Pittsburg Campus beginning at 6pm.

Admitted to CSU East Bay?

CSU East Bay Representative Samantha Brown, will be on site Tuesday, April 10, from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. to present "Next Steps", a workshop for students that have been admitted to CSU East Bay. Workshop will be held in the Computer Lab, Room 9. Reserve a spot online at,

Tutoring for DSPS Students  
Do you need tutoring in English, math or science courses, need extra help on a paper, or with preparing for a test? If you are an LMC DSPS student you can get up to two 30 minute tutor appointments a week with a DSPS tutor. Visit the Pittsburg DSPS  office or call ( 925) 473-7471 to make an appointment in Brentwood or Pittsburg.
Brentwood Library Reference Hours
Get help with finding research materials for an assignment, searching electronic resources choosing a book, creating a work cited list, using eBooks and streaming video, and more!

During the  Spring 2018 semester, you can drop-in or schedule an appointment: 
Wednesdays, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.; 
Thursdays, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
