Julia Torres Barden ('99), released an updated edition of her memoir, "How Could They Not See? A Memoir about Trauma, PTSD, and Resilience," in June for PTSD Awareness Month.

Don Boswell ('92), was appointed to the Common Interest Community Board by Governor Youngkin. He also serves as president of the Twin Hickory HOA and is the incoming president of Community Association Institute’s Central Virginia Chapter.

Myra Goodman Smith (’06), was recently honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award by the Association of Leadership Programs (ALP)—a national network that connects and strengthens leadership programs and professionals of which LMR is a member.

Patricia Bradby Moore ('19), recently published her first book, "Blackinese: Reflections on Race and Ethnicity from a Biracial Millennial.”

Leading Conversations: Best Practices in Facilitation

LMR and the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities are teaming up once again for a three-part training series to help you lead inclusive, effective dialogue—whether you're new to facilitation or ready to sharpen your skills.

Led by Jonathan Zur ('08), this interactive series begins September 30. Registration is $325. Sessions 1 & 2 will be held at WellsColeman, and Session 3 will be held at Atlantic Union Bank.
