August 2019 Issue
Summer isn't over yet! Check out our Camps and Clinics!
A whole week dedicated to players improving their ability to get free of defenders and put the ball in the back of the net. Players will walk away having improved their finesse and power finishing, attacking play, and confidence in front of net.
Former River Plate goalkeeper Franco Constanzo will be holding an exclusive camp for LMVSC players looking to learn from the pros. With years of experience in Europe and South America, Franco will expose players to the best training methods and coaching in order to help them get ready to face the best of strikers!

Instructional Developmental Program
The LMVSC IDP (instructional developmental pathway) program seeks to engage the player from as early as 2.6 years old and lay out a pathway to competitive soccer. We begin the players in our SoccerKinder program (2.6 years old - 3 years old) , proceed through the Junior Patriots program (4 years old), on to the Pre Developmental Academy (5 years old), and finally to our NextGen Academy (6 & 7 years old).

All players are trained by professional coaches at each level. The first idea is to foster the love of the game for the player, then develop the basic fundamental skills, followed by challenging the players with more technical skills and different aspects of the game.

For more information on how to get your player involved, please contact Director of Player Development - Vincent Vergamini

August Recovery Method from the Director of Athletic Performance
In a youth sports world where an athlete’s season seems to never end, muscle recovery has become of upmost importance. With a new recovery invention seemingly coming out every month, there has been a treasure hiding in plain sight…. CHOCOLATE MILK!

Yes, Chocolate Milk! The same drink that used to be an occasional treat with dinner has now been revealed to be one of the most useful tools in post-exercise recovery.  Packed with high levels of protein, carbohydrates, and electrolytes, a glass of low-fat chocolate milk immediately after and two hours after practice, has shown to help your body kick start its efforts to get you back ready to go for your next practice
Player Development vs Winning
Regardless of the sport, competition helps in player development, especially when placed in the correct environment. There is an age old question which is sometimes lost during youth soccer... Development vs Winning. Although soccer is a competition, where score is being kept, it is important for us, as coaches and parents, to keep things in perspective based on age of the players. Find out more and watch a message from Claudio Reyna, Director of Football Operations for New York City FC!
Helping to Create a Safer Environment for our Players
The most important part of youth soccer isn’t winning or learning to play like Lionel Messi or Alex Morgan. But rather, to ensure that the players have fun, grow and develop in a safe & healthy soccer environment. Find out what you can do to help!
Our goal is to "be in touch" so our families "stay in touch"
