Home Depot donates fans and air conditioners
The LOA received a grant from the Home Depot Foundation for $3480 to be used for the purchase of fans and air conditioners from the local store. The air conditioners were ordered online and delivered in late July. We are very excited to be able to provide cooling assistance to more seniors in the area and are very thankful to Home Depot for helping us secure the units!
Meals on Wheels receives support
The City of Roanoke Sheriff's office presented a check to our Meals-on-Wheels program in July. Their "no shave" campaign raised $750 to be designated to LOA. Thanks to Sheriff Allen and Kristen Borak, their Community Relations Specialist for stopping by and supporting LOA!
