LOBA Delegates to District Community and Planning Services Committee on Muskoka Official Plan Amendment 62

Resort Development

At a public meeting on April 24, LOBA's Chair of the Planning, Development and Government Relations Committee Tim Hadwen made a delegation to the District Community and Planning Services (CPS) Committee regarding the draft Commercial Resort Development Policy. LOBA's principle concern is that resort properties not be "residential condos in disguise" and supports "the draft Resort Policy requirements in Section 6.2 Permitted Uses f) that limit unit use in commercial resorts with multiple ownerships to no more than 26 weeks per year and no more than four weeks in July and August".

You can read the draft policy, see the staff presentation to the CPS Committee and read LOBA's letter/delegation>
