June 2017  Edition

Dear Beloved,

How wonderful it is to welcome you to our June newsletter. The months are flying by so fast, it's difficult to believe that we are already half way through the year.

Last Friday 23 and Saturday, 24 June was really amazing. We held our second Bethel Sozo training conference at the Federal Palace hotel organised by Bethel Sozo Nigeria Team. Carina and Deon, the Directors of Sozo Africa came to facilitate it. From Monday the 19 last week, we had personal Sozo sessions at the Education hub, City hall. Over 70 people were sozoed, and entered into greater freedom. There are however glowing testimonies, which we can't share here. Photographs are seen below. Please visit Bethel Sozo page on our website.
A very important aspect at the conference was shifting the atmosphere and praying for Nigeria.

Father God, always seems to be drawing us close still, so hope you enter into a deeper revelation of Him as your "Source" as you read....."In His Presence".

In His Presence

LOOK TO THE HILLS . . .

I was thinking with Father God about the order in which we do things. I mean which order would you place the horse and the cart? For the cart to get to its destination, you would have to put the horse before the cart. I wonder if we have thought about who our "Source" is. It's important that we learn to live from our source so it's our responsibility to understand 'who' our source is.

We see this order in the Psalm 121:1-2 "I lift up my eyes to the hills - where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth". In other words, the Lord, the Maker of Heaven and Earth is our Source, and as a result, our ability to do life "from" Him, shows that we recognise He is our Source. The Psalm then goes on to advise us to lift our eyes to the hills. This implies a change of "our focus", and the "hills" implies the object of our focus to be our Source, The Lord, Father God. In other words, we ought to place our whole focus on our Lord because He is our Source.

There are only two options really for our "focus". These are to look either to the "hills" or to look to the "situation". There really is no middle ground. When we look to the hills, the Bible tells us that help is available for us from Our Lord, whereas when we look at our situation, not only does it seem larger than it really is, we then have to look to ourselves to figure out solutions because we haven't figured out who our Source is. When this happens, we open the door to fear and anxiety to come in, complicating things and making us lose God's perspective.

There is the case where we don't know who our source is out of ignorance or the other case in which we know who He is, but we don't know how to live from the Source. A great book that teaches on this is " Heaven invades Earth", by Snr Pastor of Bethel Church, Redding, California, Pastor Bill Johnson. The Lord's Prayer teaches us to pray, "Thy will be done on earth, as it is done in heaven". Bill Johnson encourages us to partner with Father God, through the Holy Spirit, such that what is not in heaven, we refuse to allow on earth. Thus if there is no sickness in heaven, we have every right to stand against it in people's bodies on earth, and command it to leave based on Isaiah 53:3-5 that Jesus bore our sickness and heals our diseases. The more this truth becomes a reality, the more we can partner with God to bring healing to others. The better we get at practising focusing on the Source (hill), the more help we will receive to transform the earth.

Living from the Source implies looking to the hills, so we acknowledge His Majesty and Glory. He is Creator of the hills, and everything on earth, the seas and under the seas. As we acknowledge His greatness, we realise it and place Him on the Throne of our lives.

He doesn't sleep, so His eyes never look away from us as opposed to Him looking away, when Jesus was on the Cross. That may have been why Jesus shouted, "My God, My God, why have you forsaken me." The alternative for us, if we don't rely completely on God, who is all-seeing and all-knowing, is that we are prone to slipping, and have to walk without guidance from the One who knows. An expression that is used frequently is, "I am trying to figure stuff out", and this seems to be replacing us simply going to Father God for revelation concerning matters. 'Figuring stuff out' implies that we try to get as much information as possible from sources such as Google etc and then try to make informed guesses based on this. Some of us even live from Google as our source, to do life, whereas, the Holy Spirit tells us that He is the greatest search agent.

(1 Corinthians 2:10). We read about King Jehoshaphat who found himself surrounded by enemies. Rather than allow fear and anxiety in, he turned His eyes to the Lord (2 Chronicles 20:12), the Source and God delivered them. He knew that help was available from God so he went there.

How different would life be, if we truly lived from Father God as our Source, first and foremost. How much more assurance of help would we get if we looked to the hills. What situation are we battling with? May Father God help us to lift our eyes off the situation, and place them on a God who loves us more than we could comprehend and desires to send help to us.

God bless you,

Mina.

Bethel Sozo Conference
From the 23rd-24th June this past weekend, we held the second Bethel Sozo Basic Training Course in Lagos. The Bethel Sozo Facilitator for Africa, Mrs Carina Boshoff, and her husband, Mr Deon Boshoff came from South Africa to lead the training course. Over 200 Nigerians gathered at the Federal Palace Conference Centre, Lagos over the two days for teaching on the Bethel Sozo tools and there was mighty breakthrough as we stood on behalf of our great nation, Nigeria to shift the atmosphere. We hope to see further blessing outpoured in the lives of all who came and all who hear and experience the Bethel Sozo ministry through the growing Nigerian team. Delegates from Cameroon were also present and had been aiding with personal sozo sessions throughout the week, The newly appointed Sub-Director for Bethel Sozo in Cameroon, Ms Bessie Nchenge, and Mrs Carine Nwanege. Carina and Deon prayed over Dr (Mrs) Mina Bajomo, Sub-Director of Bethel Sozo Nigeria and over the entire team who continue to show tireless commitment to the ministry in our country.
