It's April and just around the corner - beginning on Friday May 31st actually - is the 2019 Susan Hood Trophy Race. Fondly referred to as the 'Coolest Race on the Lake', the Susan Hood is a 75 nautical mile overnight race that kicks off the racing season. The event is open to fully crewed, short-handed and solo sailors and is followed immediately on Sunday, June 2nd with the first LOSHRS race for 2019.
Registration for all Lake Ontario Offshore Racing events is open. Use the links below to sign yourself up for one or ALL the races. The 2019 edition of the Lake Ontario Offshore Racing Guide is coming soon. This valuable boater's resource will be distributed through major Canadian and U.S. yacht clubs, marinas, chandleries and regattas. More details to follow.

Once again for 2019, LOOR are
pleased to offer each boat registered and paid for the LO300 Challenge the opportunity to order customized shirts for their crew. There are two different shirts offered in 2019 for the 30th running of the LO300 - A Nike Polo shirt or a Gildan Technical t-shirt.

Crew Bank - Need Crew or interested in Crewing?
If you are a sailor and interested in participating in one of the Lake Ontario Offshore Races, or a skipper who needs crew, use the Crew/Boats Boards on the Yacht Scoring Registration and Official Document page. This resource was in high demand during the 2018 season and crew was snapped up very early. There are already a few eager racers listed as available crew for the 2019 season. Check it out and ensure you don't miss the opportunity to participate in a LOOR event this year.

Close to SIXTY boats have registered at this time for the 2019 Lake Ontario Short Handed Racing Series.
That's fantastic news. And do you know what else is fantastic? This year, LOOR will be hosting special Friday Night parties prior to BOTH the PCYC to Youngstown weekend, and the PCYC to Port Dalhousie weekend. What a great way to kick off these events.
