LOUKOUMI FOUNDATION VISITS PUERTO RICO!

The Loukoumi Make A Difference Foundation traveled to Puerto Rico last week with its Good Deed delegation. We visited Academia de la Inmaculada Concepcion in Mayaguez Puerto Rico, a school on our international Good Deed Council, holding assemblies, good deed discussions, Loukoumi book readings in English and Spanish, a visit to a children’s home, and on Friday hosted our Loukoumi Good Deed of the Month Zoom (left) from the school, broadcast to other schools worldwide.

LOUKOUMI GOOD DEED BUS Saturday we partnered with the school and the wonderful community of Aguada for our Loukoumi Good Deed Bus. Together we cleaned a local beach, planted pine trees and created nesting areas for pelicans, delivered food for a homeless shelter and sang carols at a local nursing home. The weekend concluded with a beach party celebrating the new friendships we made and the amazing sense of community, philanthropy and kindness that united us all, as we also unveiled the new Loukoumi park benches for the beach created by the community of Iglesia Carismatica Cristo Redentor headed by Joel, Felipe and several children. And the children’s smiles lit up everything we did! Thank you to everyone for an amazing visit! Together we made a difference!

Loukoumi Foundation Visits KPMG

The Loukoumi Make A Difference Foundation Visited KPMG on Monday for their annual Holiday Community Event, hosted by KMPG’s LRC (Legal, Regulatory and Compliance) Pro Bono and Community Impact Advisory Council. We discussed the Foundation's mission of making a difference, and then colleagues in New York, and virtually in New Jersey and Washington DC, participated in three of the Loukoumi Foundation’s initiatives including making caring cards for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (and supporting the Loukoumi Foundation Treatment Room), writing Never Forget letters for families who lost loved ones on 9-11 and supporting the The Floating Hospital Candy Cane Lane initiative, providing gifts from a wish list for patients. It was a pleasure meeting you all and thank you Nina McAdoo and everyone at KPMG for making a difference with Loukoumi.
