Invest in Lancers through the INCubatorEDU program
Lake Park's Educational Foundation is a proud investment partner in this opportunity.

Lake Park will launch the INCubator program for the 2020-2021 school year. In the INCubator course, students engage in hands-on, entrepreneurial learning by developing a business of their own. The year-long course allows students to learn all aspects of creating a business, which culminates in presenting their business to a "shark tank" panel. The Lake Park Educational Foundation is recruiting classroom coaches, mentors, donors and sponsors to bring the program to life.

Learn more at www.lphs.org/INCubator. An informational meeting will be hosted on Tuesday, January 21 at 7:00 p.m. at Lake Park West Campus for those interested in learning more about volunteer and sponsorship opportunities. To RSVP for the January 21 meeting, please email Dan Colucci or Kevin Jones.
Welcoming the Class of 2024
Combined academics, activities, athletics event designed for incoming freshman families.

Parents of incoming freshmen in 2020-21 are invited to attend Lake Park High School's AAA Night (Academics, Activities and Athletics) to be hosted at East Campus on  Wednesday, January 1 5 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. This year's new format, which combines an activity and athletic fair previously hosted in spring, provide s incoming families with an interactive and comprehensive opportunity to learn about educational and co-curricular offerings.

During any point throughout the event, future Lancer students and parents can take advantage of the open-house portion to explore activities in the student cafeteria and athletics in the main gymnasium. This flexible time frame allows families an opportunity to meet Lake Park sponsors and coaches.

However, the formal program in the Dice Auditorium requires staggered start times to accommodate all attendees since seating capacity is limited. Please attend your designated session that will include a review of placement information and an interpretation of PSAT 8 test results. Following the brief program, families will tour the school, visit elective classrooms, and meet faculty and staff from each department including curriculum leaders and counselors.

Important: please arrive in the Dice Auditorium foyer 15 minutes before your designated presentation to allow sufficient time to pick up your student's PSAT 8 scores.

Important Financial Aid Update
The Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid is now available.

The Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid is currently available for completion for the 2020-2021 academic year. Based on their individualized circumstances, it is recommended that students applying for financial aid complete either the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)  or the Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid, but students should not complete both applications.

Per the Illinois Student Assistance Commission:
The Alternative Application is for state aid only, providing a pathway to apply for Monetary Award Program (MAP) grants for qualifying undocumented students and for transgender students who are not eligible for federal financial aid because they  did not register for selective service.

Most Illinois students will continue to file the FAFSA, rather than the Alternative Application, to simultaneously apply for federal, state and institutional aid, including MAP grants.
