National Letter of Intent Signing Ceremony

Congratulations to 16 Lancer student-athletes who participated in a College Commitment Recognition Ceremony on Wednesday, April 29 hosted by the Athletics Department. Lake Park students and their families attended a recognition ceremony that included brief highlights of their individual accomplishments and recognition of their commitment to play collegiate athletics at their respective schools.

Student Design Achievement

Lancer designs official 2026 TMA competition t-shirt.


Lake Park's Career & Technical Education Department is proud to celebrate the achievement of senior Jenna Wetmore (Graphics 2), who was named the winner of a design competition for the Technology & Manufacturing Association Precision Machining Competition (TMA PMC) official t-shirt.

Jenna's original artwork was featured on the apparel worn by all participants during the Thursday, May 7 event at Mazak Midwest in Schaumburg and received a special award in recognition of her efforts.

This professional success is a testament to Jenna's creativity and the dedicated mentorship of Graphics teacher Matt Sullivan.

Second Semester Final Exams

Prepare for the 3-day exam schedule.


Lake Park's second semester final exam schedule will take place over three days on Tuesday, May 26; Wednesday, May 27; and Thursday, May 28. View the final exam daily schedule. During these exam days, Lake Park students will have access to tutoring and bus transportation (pick-up/drop-off) that is provided on a typical school day. Students who require transportation between campuses during the day will have a bus provided for them.

Lancers remaining for the make-up period must provide their own transportation. No after school activity or late bus transportation will be provided.

Class of 2026

Countdown to graduation: Wednesday, May 27

Lancer families with graduating students should have received a mailing with information about diplomas, final transcripts, immunization records and more. Please consult this packet for additional information.

Cap and Gown Distribution

Graduation caps, gowns, and 4.0 medallions will be distributed during lunch periods on Monday, May 11 and Tuesday, May 12 in the student cafeteria. or starting Wednesday, May 13 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. in the Main Office at West Campus. 

Scholarship Recognition

Lake Park will host the 46th Annual Scholarship and Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, May 19 at 7:00 p.m. in the West Campus auditorium to honor graduating students for national, state, school, and community-level scholarships. Families with students who will be recognized will receive a personal electronic invitation.

Graduation Rehearsal

Once again this year, students will be required to attend graduation rehearsal at Willow Creek in South Barrington on Tuesday, May 26 from 1:15 to 3:00 p.m. Graduates will learn their seating arrangements, practice the processional/recessional, and receive final instructions to make everything run smoothly during the graduation ceremony. 

Graduation 

Lake Park's 69th Commencement will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 27 at 7:00 p.m. at Willow Creek. Tickets are not required and doors will open at 6:00 p.m. for open seating. Families with graduating students are encouraged to visit the Class of 2026 Graduation website for additional resources. 

Graduation Videos

Purchase a keepsake today! For a minimum donation of $20.00 to the Lake Park Educational Foundation, graduation videos will be available approximately a week after the event (shared via email as a video file). President Cup Volunteer Opportunities

Register to benefit Lake Park and gain access to Medinah CC.


The 2026 Presidents Cup is coming to Medinah Country Club this fall from September 22–27. Through the District's partnership with the PGA Tour, Lake Park families, staff, students, and residents can volunteer for high-priority concession positions that serve as a fundraiser for our student clubs and athletic teams.

This unique opportunity allows volunteers aged 16 and older (18+ to serve alcohol) to earn a portion of tournament sales for the Lancer group of their choice. Participants are asked to work at least two 8-hour shifts while wearing Lancer apparel or a white polo with khakis. In exchange for your time, volunteers will receive lunch and free tournament admission to watch the world’s best golfers after your shift only on the day of volunteering. To accommodate this global golf event, Lake Park campuses will be closed for academics from September 21-25, with the 2026-2027 school year beginning early on Monday, August 10. While classes are canceled, fall athletics will remain active at West Campus, including a home football game on Friday, September 25!

Community Connection

League of Women Voters hosted "Power Hour" civic forum for Lancers.

Last month, the Youth League of the League of Women Voters of the Roselle-Bloomingdale Area (LWVRBA) hosted a student-led “Power Hour” at Lake Park East Campus, providing fellow students with an opportunity to meet and interact with local elected officials in an open and engaging setting.

Participating officials included Roselle Mayor David Pileski, Itasca Mayor Jeff Pruyn, and Hanover Park Village Trustee anYasmeen Bankole. During the event, they shared their experiences in public service, answered student questions, and offered firsthand insight into local government and community leadership.

Programs like Power Hour play an important role in preparing young voters for active citizenship. By creating opportunities for students to engage directly with elected officials, the Youth League helps build civic knowledge, encourages habits of participation early, and reinforces the understanding that government is accessible and accountable to the people—including young people.

The Youth League was founded and is led by Lake Park seniors Nicole Angel, Suri Kothari, and Sajani Achanta, working alongside League mentors Susan Wakefield Dal Porto and Joan Richards. The Youth League is designed to give students opportunities to ask questions, make connections, and see themselves as participants in the democratic process—helping to shape lifelong voters and future leaders.
