Ways to Serve in Our Community
Your time may be the most important gift you can give this December!
LPC volunteers get ready to serve meals in Covington
Lakeside Presbyterian Church coordinates a number of opportunities to be God's hands and feet in our community and world. If you would like to receive regular mission and service update emails, please opt in to our new "LPC Serves" emails.
(you can also e-mail Claire in the office and she can add you!)
Winter Goods and Coat Drive
LPC will be an ongoing collection site for winter goods in coming weeks. This is part of a larger Northern Kentucky effort and we are partnered with Life Learning Center!

Drop off your donations outside of our back entrance Sundays-Thursday between 2-6 PM.
Drivers Needed
Can you help pick up and deliver food? This is a great way to help and stay socially distanced. Our Barleycorn's project ("Sunday Serving") and the Brighton Center need your help!
Sunday Serving: Pick up food from Barleycorn's next to church at 4:30 and then deliver meals to 7 nearby homes. (Youth will get back to adding their help when it is safe for us to gather again!). Sign up here for an upcoming Sunday.

Brighton Center reached out to LPC asking for help with their Family Center Food Distribution. Sign up here for a weekday afternoon.
Essential Workers Appreciation
If you would like to write a note to an essential worker that is a member or friend of Lakeside, let us know in the church office. We're creating a list of both 'essential workers' and those in our congregation that would like to send them some snail-mail love and appreciation.
Celebrations & Stories
November Giving Barrel Total: $365
Thank you to all who contributed to our Virtual Giving Barrel Partner in November, Go Pantry!
We donated a total of $365 to this organization through individual contributions from members.

Angel Tree Program
The Mission Committee would like to thank the congregation for their support of the Angel Tree program. Everyone responded very generously; all the gifts were ordered off of the Amazon wishlists! Any money that was donated through the church was used to 'finish up' the lists so that they were complete.
Your generosity will make many children's Christmas wishes come true.
Presbyterian Women Helping A Local Young Woman
The women of the church have been helping a local young woman with goods and resources... if you would like to know more about this project, or be involved by helping make her Christmas extra special, please reach out to Pam Houseman.
Presbyterian Women 2
Lakeside Member, Brenda Fauber is collecting hats and gloves (not scarves) to drop off at The Parish Kitchen and Emergency Shelter between now and Christmas. The Presbyterian Women are involved in the project, but are accepting donations from all! Reach out to Brenda if you have a donation!
A Thank You From Beechwood...
Many of our Sunday Night Serving Meals (prepared by the Youth) feed students from Beechwood Schools. We received this thank you letter recently:
As we head into Thanksgiving, I wanted to drop a note of thanks for all that Lakeside Presbyterian has done over these last months to support our families. The Sunday meals have been so helpful and brought comfort to these families. Clearly your congregants are living out Jesus’ edict of “Love Thy Neighbor” and we are grateful for this....
I hope the holidays offer a time of reflection for all of you.
Again, my thanks.
Yours,
Michael Brinkman
School Counselor
Beechwood H.S.

Thank you for all you do to serve with LPC in Jesus's name!
