Family Promise Leadership Planning

Our LPC team has just completed another week full of blessings serving Family Promise of Warren County. This ministry needs a few people to form a new leadership team and cover recurring coordination tasks for 2027 and beyond. Terri and Marge will be retiring as coordinators at the end of 2026, although they plan to continue to serve and will be available to advise the new leaders. We will hold a meeting to identify new leaders and begin planning the transition on Sunday, July 26, in the Atrium at 12:15 p.m. (after the 11:00 a.m. service). Please come if you are interested in impacting the future of this ministry! For more information, please contact Marge Cunningham at olgrymre@aol.com.

Interim Financial Secretary Position

LPC is currently looking for candidates to fill an interim Financial Secretary position.

The Financial Secretary is primarily responsible for income and expense processing as well as maintaining the church accounting system through data input and report generation, including the monthly financials and the balance sheet.

Qualifications include: knowledge and skill in accounting computer software, Word and Excel; ability to work under limited supervision; demonstrate a professional and friendly manner.

This is a part-time position (up to 15 hours a week), and anyone interested should contact Roger Sims or Stephanie Poblenz.

New Member Class

On Sunday, August 16, we will begin our New Member Class during Sunday school hours, from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., in Fellowship Hall Room 101. The class is for anyone interested in exploring membership in the church.

You might be wondering, “Why should I join the church?” That’s a good question! Although membership is not required, it’s a way of expressing our faith in Jesus Christ

and committing ourselves to belong to a community of faith. Stephanie Poblenz will be

teaching the class, and there will be plenty of time for discussion and questions. Also,

you will learn about the many opportunities to grow, serve, and get involved with LPC.

  • Sundays, August 16 to September 20, from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. in Fellowship Hall Room 101
  • Sunday, September 20, noon to 2:00 p.m., New Members Luncheon in Fellowship Hall Room 101.

I hope you will join us for the journey. Please RSVP by email naomi@lebanonpresbyterian.org or by contacting Naomi Carpenter at the church office at 513-932-2751. Please respond by Monday, August 10.

Anniversary Celebration Choir

Have you ever been part of a special Anniversary Celebration Choir? Our Worship and Music Director is inviting Sanctuary Choir members and members of the congregation to participate in a special Anniversary Celebration Choir for LPC’s 220th Anniversary Service on August 30. This is a unique, one-time opportunity to come together in a meaningful and joyful musical offering as we celebrate God’s faithfulness through the life of our church. Participants will receive information about rehearsals and music preparation leading up to the service. For more information or to express interest, please contact Cristy Doria at cristy@lebanonpresbyterian.org, Leslie Catchpole at l.catchpole@hotmail.com, or call 513-932-2751

If you know someone who is not receiving our Weekly Update email or calls about immediate information, please have them contact Sherry Showalter at admin@lebanonpresbyterian.org so we can get them added to our congregational lists.
