Congregational Meeting

There will be a congregational meeting on Sunday, December 4 at 10 a.m. in the Sanctuary for the purpose of electing new Elders and Deacons and approving the terms of call for our pastors. We will also be receiving the 2023 LPC Operating Budget. Copies of the budget will be available at the Welcome Center the week of November 27.

Giving Tree

Our church is happy to participate in the Elizabeth’s New Life Center Giving Tree Project to benefit The Lebanon Women's Center, a pro-life, non-profit pregnancy resource center that helps women to navigate unexpected pregnancies.

The consultants at the center encourage each mother to choose life for her child, providing her with assistance in her spiritual, material, educational, and medical needs. These material needs include baby clothes, diapers, wipes, bottles, and many other essential infant care items. We ask that your family shares the joy of Christmas by donating an item listed on the Giving Tree ornament of your choice or wish list provided. The items do not need to be gift-wrapped; they are used to help those in need throughout the year. Please return your donated item to the church by December 14, 2022. For more information please contact: Melody Bain 513-260-6041 or Maggie O’Bryon 513-426-2435.

Angel Tree

Share the hope of Jesus with a child in our community as we deliver a Christmas present and a personal message of love on behalf of their loved one in prison. It starts with a gift and opens the door for year-round ministry opportunities.

We still have 36 children waiting to be selected by clicking on the link below and donating $25 which will be used to purchase a gift card for the child of your choice.

If you chose a tag from our Angel Tree trees this past Sunday – Thank you! The families will start picking up the gifts on Saturday, December 10 so please have your wrapped gift (with the Angel Tree tag) to the office by Friday, December 9. Office hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday – Thursday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday. We can also make other arrangements if these times are not convenient. We will be closed Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

If you have any questions or would like to hear of other ways you can help with this wonderful ministry, please contact Sherry Showalter at [email protected] or 513-932-2751.

LPC DAYCARE & PRESCHOOL DIRECTOR JOB POSTING

LPC Open House and Nativity

Once again we will have a live Nativity on Saturday December 3rd, from 6 - 8:30 p.m. Yes, we will have live animals, including donkeys, sheep, and alpacas.

We will also have an Open House, between 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., with the Sanctuary open, and an opportunity for all to stop in for refreshments and break before and after the Carriage Parade in downtown Lebanon. This serves as an excellent opportunity to connect with the community as well.

We need your help!

There are several ways you can help with the event:

Setting up the outdoor Nativity:

Sunday, Nov. 27th: Meet on Warren Street side at 12:30 p.m.

The more we have helping, the faster it will go. It usually takes between 2-3 hours.

We will provide pizza for lunch!

Dec. 3rd event-The Open House:

Sign up sheets will be available to help starting Sunday Nov. 6th in the Narthex area

Characters, set up, and clean up help needed between 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Please contact Chris Dorsch if you have any questions at [email protected] or (513)824-1370.

Cookies:

Thank you to all of you who signed up to bring cookies for the Carriage Parade Open House. God has truly blessed this congregation with generous bakers.

  1. Please do not deliver the cookies prior to Friday, December 2 as the kitchen is in heavy use that week.
  2. There is no need to pre-wrap the cookies this year.
  3. Please deliver the cookies in a non-returnable container – think paper/Styrofoam plates, aluminum pans.

With much gratitude, Reach Out Committee
