Lenten Devotional
Writers Needed!
In 2022, as we prepare for Easter, in many ways we are in a wilderness. Yet, as scripture describes this Wilderness, God’s Word also offers Promise, Provision, Hope, and the Presence of God. These themes are mirrored in the scriptures for this year’s LPC Lenten Devotional.

AND WE NEED YOUR HELP!! There are LOTS (count them—40) days in Lent and we need a devotional writer for each and every one of those days PLUS Palm Sunday and Easter! I encourage you to say a silent prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to guide you in deciding to claim a day, either by signing up online at the link below, seeing Nina Dorsch after church services on January 9, or contacting Nina at

Devotions must be turned in no later than FRIDAY, JANUARY 28 so that the devotional booklet can be compiled and printed in time for Ash Wednesday.

Can’t write a devotional? Pray for those who will!

Soul Food Café Needs You
Many hands mean light work as the old proverb goes, and the LPC Feeding Ministry wants yours! Our local missions cannot function without the ongoing commitment of our congregation. Right now, we are again at a place where we need some new volunteers to keep running at our current pace of a once-a-week Monday night dinner and a Wednesday noon pizza.

Currently, the Monday night is the most critical. If you and some friends, your small group, Sunday School class, or another group can’t work every month, can you commit to every other month, once a quarter? Many people are drawn to LPC for its mission programs, but they can only function with YOU. Why not make 2022 the year that you fully commit to discipleship in missions? Benefits include working with friendly people, serving grateful new faces--from tiny tots to senior citizens, and being the hands and feet of Jesus in real time.

For more information, contact Jerry Hentschel at or Inga Kimple at We will have a group meeting in January to answer questions or sign-up.
January Quilt Service Project
LPC Quilters would like to offer an invitation to all women in the church to join the Quilters every Monday in January from 12 to 4 p.m. to help make quilts for Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Come for fellowship and to help us with this fun project. No sewing skills are required, just a servant's heart. If you can iron we need you (press, press, press). Can you do hand sewing, quilt binding, pin baste quilt tops, or cut out a quilt kit? Maybe take a quilt kit home to machine sew or make a pillowcase for each quilt? Please call or email Sharen Benner 513-409-5278 or for more information.
