Worship With Us This Sunday

Any avid hiker will tell you the best part of a grueling hike is the view at the top of the mountain. After Peter’s declaration that Jesus is the Messiah (and the subsequent rebuke Jesus gives him when Peter decides Jesus doesn’t understand what being the Christ means), Jesus takes Peter, James, and John on a hike they will never forget. However, the beauty they experienced was not the view from the mountain top, but in fact seeing the true glory of Christ. What does it mean for us to recognize the true glory of Christ? Will we desire to stay on the mountain top with him or will we follow him back down, into new life with him?

On February 23rd during worship, Children's Ministry will once again be giving Bibles to children in 2nd grade and new children who are older. If you are a parent of such a child and have not yet been contacted about this, please email Tracy Untener: tracy@lebanonpresbyterian.org. We look forward to celebrating this very important milestone. Thank you!

LENTEN DEVOTIONAL WRITERS NEEDED!

KNOWING JESUS TOGETHER

This year's Lenten devotional focuses on "Knowing Jesus Together." Each of us knows Jesus in a unique way and all of us want to know Jesus more.  Knowing Jesus is a central theme of the gospels. Reading and pondering how various people who encountered Jesus came to know Him can expand our understanding of our Savior. In the days leading up to Easter, we will recall those experiences: how gospel stories tell us how people met the Savior and what we can learn about our Lord from those encounters.

YOU’RE INVITED TO WRITE A DEVOTIONAL ABOUT ONE GOSPEL ENCOUNTER EXPERIENCE (WHAT IT MEANT TO THE PERSON WHO MET JESUS AND WHAT THAT MEANS FOR YOU) TO SHARE IN THIS YEAR’S LENTEN DEVOTIONAL.
