The LPCC 2019 Legislative Agenda was developed by the LPCC Government Affairs Committee and approved by our Board of Directors. As in past years, this Legislative Agenda outlines broad concepts and specific targets under our four general legislative priorities - transportation, zoning and development, tax revenue and budget management, and business climate.

MEMBER NEWS

On Tuesday, March 5, Steppenwolf Theatre Company broke ground to expand their Halsted campus in Lincoln Park. Slated to open in 2021, the new campus expansion will feature a 400-seat in-the-round theatre, dedicated education floor and more social spaces including a wine bar and sidewalk lounge.


Lincoln Common has announced that San Francisco-based coffee shop Philz Coffee will open in late 2019. Philz Coffee joins Velvet Taco, Kohler Waters Spa, Equinox Fitness and Athletico Physical Therapy at the 6.04-acre development.


DePaul University and Wintrust Arena are proud to host the 2019 BIG EAST Women’s Basketball Tournament from March 9 - 12. Join them in the South Loop to crown a BIG EAST Champion!

On Monday, March 11, the sidewalk on the west side of Lincoln Avenue will be temporarily closed between Fullerton and the Lincoln Common parking garage entrance. During this time, pedestrian traffic will be redirected across Lincoln Avenue at the Fullerton and parking garage stoplights. Vehicular traffic will not be impacted.
