Dear Legacy Point Community,
Thank you so much for your participation in the canned food drive this week. The Parker Task Force was very appreciative and our students were excited to see how many cans we collected!
Wednesday of this week we had a wonderful Thanksgiving luncheon. We rearranged the tables, played music, and Mrs. Waufle and I served the students lunch. It was a nice time to come together and celebrate.
You may have noticed teachers dressing "comfortably" on Mondays. We are participating in "Mindful Monday" at Legacy Point. Our mental health team sends out a suggestion on how to be mindful and together we practice it! We are taking care of ourselves to model healthy habits for kids!
If you are interested in thinking about gratitude and practicing it, here are some ideas!

Think about what you want to do over break and have your family create a plan of action. We call this "scheduling our big rocks." You will be thankful you took the time at the end of the week and feel a sense of accomplishment!
I hope you and your family have a very happy, relaxing, and rejuvenating time together over the next week. Your children make me so happy every day and I'm grateful for them and our community. Happy Thanksgiving!
