Legacy Point Community,

Thank you again for your flexibility with readjusting driving routines during the close of French Creek. You all did this so effortlessly and easily. You are very much appreciated and continue to make my job easier.

Parent/Teacher/Student conferences are coming up the second week of March. You should be hearing from your classroom teacher regarding a sign-up time. Please reach out to them if you haven't heard about a time.

Please let our office know if you aren't planning on returning next year. We are planning classrooms and accurate numbers make finding this planning easier. Thank you!

As always, thank you for your continued partnership. I feel fortunate every day to serve this community.

Every Student, Every Family, Every Day
Dear Legacy Point Families,

At this time, I have collected one fantastic piece of art for every student and sent it to the “Original Works” fundraiser project in which families can order their student's artwork on a memento item. I appreciate your patience so far, this project has been a little slow going this year due to our accommodations with hybrid learning, remote learning, and also due to my time being divided between two schools. The actual physical art piece will eventually be sent home with your child.

The Original Works program is the major way that we fundraise for art materials for our classroom. By the end of next week, your child will bring home a paper order form with instructions on how to access the online gallery to find the artwork and place an order. I have also attached the ordering instructions to this message. All the ordering will be done online this year directly through the Original Works website, and your product will be shipped to your home. Please remember there is ZERO obligation to participate in the fundraiser, but a good portion of the sales comes back to the school to help us purchase some nice art materials for the kids to work with.

Also, in case you were wondering why your student hasn't brought any artwork home... I do have lots of beautiful completed artwork in my classroom however, I am waiting for more direction from the DCSD Arts Director to decide how we’re going to do the art show this year due to social distancing guidelines. There is no formal decision as of now, but from what I am told so far, it’s going to be a digital show. Because of this, I need to hold onto everything for the time being so I can photograph it for the show.  My goal is to send home a fantastic portfolio of finished artworks to my Legacy Point families in May.

As always, thank you for supporting the Arts at Legacy Point.

Please let me know if you have any more questions my email is [email protected]
