Dear Parents,

Thank you for your incredible support for our annual Fun Run! Together you raised enough money to strand me on the roof! That will take place this coming Monday so look for me when students are getting dropped off! I will have a bucket I can lower to receive items. Classes will be visiting me throughout the morning and bringing me things. (Behind the scenes we give classroom teachers things like sunscreen, magazines, water, etc).

Also, at the assembly on Monday morning we will be having some teachers get a pie in the face, students will silly string our Building Engineer Mrs. Long, and we will announce the winners for the Principal for the Day and Limo Lunch. Please feel free to join us out in front of our building for this assembly at 9:30.

Just a reminder, students don't have school tomorrow. Teachers will be spending the day digging into data to determine where we are being successful and what interventions we need to implement.

On another note, I just found out you can apply for an emergency 1 yr. authorization to be a Substitute teacher if you have a high school diploma or equivalent! DCSD is paying $150.00 a day and we could put you to work at Legacy Point. You would have full authority to choose which days you would work. If you are interested, please let us know! Additionally, we still have a Behavior Technician position available and an Educational Assistant I. If you'd like to talk through any of these options and details, please call the office.

Thank you to Courtney and Casey Striker for finding a trailer and letting us use their truck for the Homecoming Parade. It was an amazing time to smile, laugh, and dance as a community. Our music teacher, Kyler Baxter sang Elvis songs the entire route and was the hit of the parade!

Thank you for all of your support,

Kristin
