Happy Fall!

You may have noticed the two large white tents on our property. These were purchased with CARES money to provide an outdoor space for kids to learn. Because of the ventilation students are able to remove their masks and do their learning outside. Teachers have already been signing up to use them. What a treat! Legacy Point is able to keep these tents for additional events moving forward so we are very grateful.

Our SAC meeting will take place next Tuesday. We will be discussing safety protocols now that our full student body will be returning after break. Please feel free to join us.

Thank you again for your support with the Fun Run. We had our acting principal, 3rd grader Miss Brooklyn McHugh decide that all students needed ice cream for the day she was principal, so our PTIB purchased ice cream sandwiches to hand out at lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday. I think the school loved her leadership!

Just a reminder, we will have asynchronous school next Thursday and Friday. Students will receive instructions from their teacher for what this day looks like. We are so excited to return to full time after break with our hybrid students!

As always, please contact me with any questions.
Fondly,
Kristin

2021-22 and 2022-23 School Year Calendar Update
The DCSD Calendar Committee, composed of leaders, teachers, classified staff members, students, and parents, worked to develop three conventional calendar options for the 2021-22 and 2022-23 School Year Conventional Calendars. As part of the process, a survey will be distributed to staff and parents of neighborhood schools (non-charter schools) on Monday, September 21, 2020, and be open until midnight on Friday, October 2, 2020
