THREE SAN DIEGO CHAPTER TEAMS ADVANCE

TO THE CUP FINALS IN FLORIDA

The LPGA Amateur Golf Association® hosted the Western Regional Qualifier this past weekend in Tuscon, AZ, and we are pleased to announce that three San Diego Chapter teams advanced to the finals. The temperatures were sizzling well into the 100s, and so were our teams. Teams of four competed in Four-Ball and Singles Match Play over two days.

Nineteen teams competed, and our ladies represented San Diego well! The Bombing Birdies took second place, the Birdie Bandits were third, the Birdie Bandits finished sixth, and team Parfect just barely missed the cut to advance, finishing 9th.

The LPGA Amateurs competitions are so much fun, and the play is intense! Congratulations to all our teams, and Thank You for proudly representing our San Diego Chapter.

Photos of our teams and members are below.

Team Bombing Birdies Win Second Place - Jen Faye, Lisa Schmidt (captain), Margaret Ashwell, and Cathy Wright

Team Birdie Bandits Take 3rd Place - Bethany Selan, Karen Bridges, Stacey Robin Banner, and Hayashi (captain).

Team Birdie Bunch Finish 6th - Stacey Musso, Chris Shorkey, Connie Pasterkiewicz, and Michelle Schmidt (captain).

Team PARfect Finishes 9th- Soo Lee, Marie Shannon (captain), Dina Mauger, and Eunhwa Lenehan.
