Play for P.I.N.K. (PFP) has raised over $85 million to fund groundbreaking breast cancer research—research that’s already saving lives, improving outcomes, and uncovering new approaches to this challenging disease. The Play for P.I.N.K. organization transforms PLAY into SERIOUS SUPPORT, and our Chapter’s leadership is proud to host this year’s event at Journey at Pechanga.
What began in 1990 as a single golf tournament among friends has grown into a nationwide movement, with PFP events now held in 30 states across the country. This is our moment to PLAY FOR IMPACT—and we need your participation to make it count.
Format:
You will be able to choose the format you'd like to play:
- 2 Person Best Ball Female/Female
- 2 Person Best Ball Female/Male
- 4 Person Scramble - F/F/F/F
Not Playing? You Can Still Support!
If you're unable to join the golf event but would still like to contribute, simply select "Register as a member", then select “No Golf” option on the registration type page. This allows you to make a donation — entirely optional, and deeply appreciated.

You can’t find your ball because a player unknowingly hit your ball, what now?
Scenario: A fellow competitor and I both hit our drives into the left rough. While I was looking for my ball, the other player found what they thought was their ball and chipped out to the fairway. Three-plus minutes later, I started back to the tee under the lost ball rule…at which point the other player realized the ball they chipped out was mine.
Question: Can I replace my ball and play on with no penalty? Or does the three-minute search rule mean my ball was “lost”? Does the other player just go back to the tee and proceed, or are they also penalized for playing the wrong ball?
Answer: (In stroke play) If you didn’t find your ball or learn the other player had played your ball within the three-minute search time: Your ball is lost and your only option is to proceed under stroke and distance and go back to the tee (for one penalty stroke), or for a 2-stroke penalty, drop a ball where it was thought to be lost under (Model local rule E-5) if that local rule is in effect. Your fellow competitor gets the general penalty for playing a wrong ball, and now they must correct their mistake with an additional two penalty strokes tacked on to their score. Their stroke at the wrong ball doesn’t count; assuming they didn’t find their own ball within any search time that remained to do so, they are hitting 5 off the tee (Drive, lost ball stroke and distance 1-stroke penalty + 2 strokes for playing wrong ball).
Note: (In match play) The general penalty is loss of hole.
