After years of study, the Lake Powell Pipeline has achieved an important and exciting milestone: the Bureau of Reclamation has issued the draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). The draft EIS reports the project will meet the water needs of Washington County’s growing population and economy. The Southern Alternative has been named the “preferred alternative.” The release of the draft EIS opens a 90-day public comment period.
