LPP Update
Fortunately, we haven’t skipped a beat with continuing our regular client work, along with helping people through the various government programs resulting from coronavirus – PPP loans, unemployment questions, and health insurance changes. Thankfully, none of our clients developed coronavirus infection and we did not need to deliver toilet paper to anyone.
What is the plan for Life Planning Partners going forward?
I do not trust a rapid reopening of the economy. There are so many unknowns with this virus and I stand with Dr. Fauci – we do not want to see a large second wave.
I’ll never forget one of my mentors in medicine saying, “Don’t use new medicines for at least six months – let everyone else kill their patients first.” Florida is reopening and it will be two to three weeks before we really know how that is working out. Even then, we don’t know how many people will continue to follow social distancing and how many will be partying in enclosed spaces, so the numbers may not tell the entire story.
Because of these unknowns, we plan to continue working with one person in the office until the end of May. At that time, we’ll decide what is next. We have done well with video meetings for clients and will continue this approach for now.
